The Deputy Governor of Daraa, Mohannad Al-Jahmani, confirmed today, Saturday, that the Development Fund represents the fundamental starting point for the reconstruction of the governorate, which has suffered extensive destruction on various levels, noting that Daraa is in urgent need of comprehensive support in all vital sectors.
In his statements, Al-Jahmani explained that the health situation in the governorate suffers from a severe shortage, as there are only 8 hospitals and 100 health centers, most of which need renovation, and there is no magnetic resonance imaging device available, along with a shortage of computed tomography machines.
The education sector also faces significant challenges, as the governorate has 970 schools, of which 400 schools need renovation, and no new school buildings have been constructed since the outbreak of the revolution, reflecting the scale of the challenges facing the educational process.
Al-Jahmani pointed out that the marginalization that Daraa has experienced since the entry of the fallen regime in 2018 was systematic, emphasizing that the campaign "Abshiri Horan" aims to address the urgent priorities in infrastructure and basic services.
