The Palestinian Embassy in Cairo announced today, Saturday, the reopening of the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt starting next Monday.

The embassy clarified in its statement that this step aims to enable Palestinians residing in Egypt who wish to return to the Gaza Strip to travel, after a long period of closure.

Despite this announcement, entry into the Gaza Strip remains subject to strict restrictions imposed by Israel, which fully controls the crossings and borders, making the movement of individuals and goods linked to complex political and security arrangements.
