The President of the United Nations General Assembly Appreciates the "Historic Moment" of Syria's Participation After the Change

The Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan al-Shaybani, discussed with the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock, the new prospects opened by Syria's participation in the activities of the United Nations General Assembly, during a meeting held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the high-level week in New York.
Following the meeting, the President of the United Nations General Assembly expressed her pleasure with this meeting through a post on the "X" platform. Baerbock stated: "We discussed in our conversation the historic moment represented by Syria's first participation in the high-level week after the fall of the Assad regime, and the challenges facing Syria in the transitional phase."
This meeting came as part of the agenda of intensive meetings that Minister al-Shaybani held during the high-level week of the General Assembly meetings. These meetings, which included foreign ministers from several Arab and foreign countries and representatives of international organizations, focused on discussing the current challenges facing the Syrian Republic and proposing ways and mechanisms for international cooperation to overcome them.
